Redrow set for mixed-use development of former Government sites in Harrow

Developer Redrow Homes Limited has purchased two sites in north west London's Harrow from Redefine International with consent for a residential and commercial development.

The sites at Lyon House, which was previously occupied by HMRC, and Equitable House are located in Harrow town centre and are both currently vacant. The sites have planning permission for the development of 238 private homes, 49 affordable homes and 33,000 square feet of commercial space.

Redrow bought the sites for £13.77 million. Redefine said in a statement that the sale "reflects a positive recycling of capital following a successful asset management strategy to convert the sites from commercial to predominantly residential use".
