The plans were revised following concerns raised by Transport for London (TfL) and Westminster City Council. The revised plans for the mixed-use development include a reduction in office space from 270,000 square feet to 96,000 sq ft.
Concerns were raised about construction of the development above the London Underground's train line and the plans that were originally submitted in August 2011 have now been revised and resubmitted. It is hoped the development will be delivered between 2013 and 2015.
One of the changes allows for a potential extension of Paddington's Bakerloo Line ticket hall, although TfL currently has no plans in the pipeline for such work, the publication explained.
The revised plans http://transact.westminster.gov.uk/CSU/Planning%20Applications%20Committees/2008%20onwards/2012/14%20-%2012%20April/ITEM%2001%20-%20Paddington%20Sorting%20&%20Delivery,%2031%20London%20Street,%20W2.PDF (74-pages / 9 MB PDF) for the development include two residential buildings of between seven and nine storeys high, which are planned to provide 95 residential units. A roof extension is also proposed to build an additional 34 residential units.
The plans include proposals for ground floor retail and restaurant uses and 82 new parking spaces. The developers also propose landscaping for the new site.
