Managing Senior Practice Development Lawyer
Melissa is a solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales specialising in international and domestic arbitration and commercial litigation.
Melissa has been practising dispute resolution, based in the United Arab Emirates since April 2008. She is a Senior Practice Development Lawyer in our Risk and Advisory Services Team in Dubai and her role includes knowledge management, training, innovation, efficient delivery of legal services and business development for the firm's contentious practice in the Middle East region.
Before becoming a Practice Development Lawyer, Melissa obtained extensive experience as a Senior Associate at two Magic Circle law firms. Her contentious practice has covered a broad range of areas including construction, shareholder, financial services, property development and employment disputes. She has worked on numerous arbitral proceedings, institutional and ad hoc, seated both in the region and overseas. Melissa also has broad experience of litigation proceedings, including before the English, UAE, DIFC and ADGM courts.
Senior Associate
Lydia advises clients on complex construction and infrastructure disputes through all stages of disputes, with particular focus on arbitration and tiered dispute resolution mechanisms. Her work involves major project disputes, detailed contractual, and statutory analysis across rail, road, energy, and infrastructure sectors, including major PPP projects.
Managing Senior Associate
She is experienced in litigation and large-scale arbitration, both domestic and international, concerning complex issues of delay, disruption, variations and contract termination. Lauren also acts for clients during the project delivery phase. Recent projects Lauren has been involved in include windfarms, roads, pipelines and commercial developments.

Luke is a Partner for Pinsent Masons and leads the firm’s Middle East employment practice. Luke and his team are employment law specialists and advise multinational groups with operations in the Middle East as well as Middle East headquartered businesses on all aspects of employment and labour law issues.
