  • Acting for Wood plc in bribery investigations, including concerning a subsidiaries dealings in Kazakhstan which led to a self-report and negotiated bribery civil settlement with the Scottish public prosecutor and Civil Recovery Unit.

  • Advised a consortium of leading infrastructure contractors on an internal investigation into whistleblowing allegations relating to the delivery of major infrastructure projects.

  • Advised a major construction and development company on a privileged investigation into alleged irregular subsistence claims, inflated timesheets, and historical improper payments by former employees.

  • Advised a local government authority on an investigation into a complaint regarding the award and termination of a major events contract.

  • Acting for an energy company in a SFO investigation. The matter involves a multi-disciplinary team of lawyers and forensic accountants.

  • Advised a football club on allegations concerning connections with a designated person. Conducted investigations, provided detailed opinions and representation, and handled inquiries by OFSI.

  • In combination with our forensic accountancy team, acted for an infrastructure business in an internal investigation into suspect fraud, including conducting multiple interviews; advising on remediation; and engagement with the company’s statutory auditors.

  • Acting in a SFO investigation in the construction sector.

  • Successfully defended a cryptocurrency trader in asset freezing proceedings brought by the Scottish Ministers’ Civil Recovery Unit following allegations of money laundering. Through detailed asset tracing work and legal representations, the property prohibitory order was recalled after the allegations were shown to be unfounded.

  • Advised a major renewables business on investigating whistleblowing allegations, including bribery and conflicts of interest involving a project manager and a director of a subsidiary.
