The application argued that the industrial action would threaten community health and safety by disrupting logistics services.

    Successfully obtained urgent, interlocutory injunction from Federal Court against the union on behalf of a global manufacturer & supplier of diversified products, preventing the continuation of unprotected industrial action and other unlawful conduct at our client’s work sites.

    Advised Mondelez (formerly Kraft/Cadbury).on HR integration of Cadbury and Kraft, including advice on site closures and workforce-wide changes to terms and conditions of employment against a backdrop of national and international media scrutiny.

    Advised Worley Parsons Group on a UK wide collective unilateral substantial change of employment terms and conditions, reduction of salary and reduction to pension entitlement.

    Advised a major contractor on over 300 holiday pay claims. Worked with the client to avoid becoming a test case in this area and agree an affordable and workable solution both in respect of back-pay and future calculation of holiday pay. Despite this claim being one of the first multiple holiday pay claims issued it did not result in adverse PR for our client.

    Acted for SIG in the Court of Appeal in 2018 when a Middle East-based employee argued that he has jurisdiction to make employment claims in the UK. This has been joined with British Council v Jeffrey and is likely to become an important authority on this area.

    Advised Balfour Beatty Group on a dispute with Unite over changes in the historic collective bargaining machinery and defending it in the face of threatened strike action.
