Multinational law firm Pinsent Masons has advised CSG Chemical Solutions (CSG) on their acquisition of Cork-based Celtic Water Care Solutions Limited (Celtic Water Care).
Operating across Ireland and the UK, CSG brings over 40 years of specialist chemistry expertise across potable water, wastewater, environmental and hygiene applications. It’s also the parent company of GI Chemicals and Chemifloc, the largest supplier of coagulants used in water treatment in Ireland.
Celtic Water Care is a wastewater and effluent treatment chemicals specialist, serving private sector customers across Ireland.
Acquiring Celtic Water Care is part of CGS’s ambitious growth strategy to make further acquisitions and become a significantly larger provider throughout Britain.
Dublin-based corporate partner Gerry Beausang commented, “Following the launch of Uisce Éireann’s strategic plan last year, Ireland’s water industry is set to undergo a period of major transformation marked by significant capital investment and strengthened regulatory and environmental frameworks. CSG is ideally positioned to support both private and public organisations in delivering this change as it cements its position in Ireland and expands throughout the UK.”
Gerry Beausang led the cross-sector Pinsent Masons team which helped deliver the transaction, supported by Maeve O’Brien, Bri Redmond, Louise McQuaid and Ciarán Campbell.
