Pinsent Masons advises Erisbeg on proposed acquisition of PageOne Communications
26 May 2023 | 12:13 pm |
Multinational law firm Pinsent Masons has advised Dublin-headquartered private equity firm Erisbeg on the agreement to acquire the entire issued share capital of PageOne Communications from the Capita Group.
Erisbeg is an Irish private equity fund which invests in and further develops established businesses in Ireland and internationally. Established in 2017 by Alan Kerr and Thomas Davy, it has raised a €110 million fund which has been invested in growing businesses in the critical communications, healthcare, compliance, logistics and recruitment sectors.
PageOne is one of the UK’s leading mobile messaging companies providing critical alerting and messaging solutions to companies, including the NHS and emergency services.
The Pinsent Masons team was led by partner Andrew Kerr (Leeds), senior associate Dorian Rees (Dublin) and associate Rachel Brennan (Leeds).
Commenting on the deal, Andrew Kerr said:
“We are delighted to advise on another key investment for Erisbeg. A team of legal specialists across our UK and Irish offices worked seamlessly together to finalise due diligence, transaction documentation and reach exchange within a very short timeframe, including utilisation of dual-qualified, Dublin-based lawyer, Dorian Rees, who often advises Irish bidders on UK acquisitions and vice versa. This acquisition marks a strategic addition for Erisbeg’s existing portfolio BP Multipage, a similar critical communications solutions provider to companies and agencies in the healthcare, emergency services and industrial sectors in Ireland.”
