Pinsent Masons Advises Nightfreight on its Acquisition by DX Group

16 Mar 2012 | 09:20 am |

International law firm Pinsent Masons has advised leading logistics business Nightfreight on its sale to DX Group.

This acquisition will create the UK and Ireland’s leading independent mail, courier and logistics network provider, diversifying the service offering and providing a much broader range of distribution capabilities for business customers.  Nightfreight has a particular niche in the IDW sector and its services are highly complementary to those of DX Group. This deal will result in further investment to improve operations, IT systems and the fleet of vehicles.

The Pinsent Masons team advising on the deal was lead by corporate partner Paul Harkin, working with corporate lawyers Alexander Burton and Phoebe Matthews and tax lawyer Kate Featherstone.

Commenting on the deal, Paul Harkin said: "We have acted in the logistics sector for a number of years and are very pleased to have advised longstanding client Nightfreight on the sale to DX, which will create a market leader in the industry.'
