International law firm Pinsent Masons has bolstered its expertise in the hotels arena with the appointment of specialist Nick Skea Strachan.
Nick joins from Berwin Leighton Paisner where he was a partner. He specialises in providing expert legal advice to clients in the hospitality & leisure industries. His areas of specialisation include hotel and resort management agreements, technical services agreements, franchising and hotel development projects, hotel financing and restructuring.
During the course of his career Nick has advised a wide range of clients including investors, development companies, lenders and hotel operators across Europe, the Middle East and North Africa.
He has advised opposite most of the major international hotel chains including Hilton, Marriott, InterContinental Hotels Group and Starwood in the UK and internationally.

Pinsent Masons has undertaken a broad range of work in the hotels industry in recent years including for major hotel groups, investors, developers and funders. Highlights include acting for the global hotelier Accor on its acquisition of 13 Ibis branded hotels in the UK from Tritax Accor Hotel Trust, advising the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group in relation to the re-development of the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, and advising Lone Star on the £680m acquisition of a portfolio of Jurys Inn Hotels.
