Multinational law firm Pinsent Masons has been named Legal Advisor of the Year at the Middle East Solar Industry Association Solar Awards 2021
The award acknowledges the firm’s role in shaping the renewables landscape having worked on some of the largest and most notable solar projects in the region including Lebanese’s Centre for Energy Efficiency wind program and advising on the financial close of the Rabigh Solar PV IPP Project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In 2020, the firm also published a comprehensive thought leadership report which provided recommendations on how the UAE regulatory framework can be be enhanced to improve efficiency, contractual relationships, and access to funds, in order for it to become a global leader in solar technology.
This is the third consecutive year that Pinsent Masons has been named Legal Advisor of the year at the MEISA Awards. In previous years the firm has won for its work on the 900MW first CSP hybrid project in Dubai, the REPDO round 2 solar project in Saudi Arabia (one of the largest in the world), and the first solar IPP in Qatar.
