Pinsent Masons secures role on administration of Parabis

International law firm Pinsent Masons has secured a key role on the administration of the law firm Parabis which entered into administration on Monday via a pre-pack process which saw the law firm split up and sold off.

Pinsent Masons partner Steven Cottee alongside consultant Jonathan Jeffries have both been appointed as Joint Solicitor Managers of Parabis.

The pre-pack administration saw Parabis' defendant insurance businesses, Plexus and Greenwoods, acquired by Plexus Law Limited, Carpenters acquired some of claimant business Cogent Law, Lyons Davidson also acquired parts of Cogent Law as well as Saga Law, medical reports company Premex Services acquired Parabis’ Argent Rehabilitation arm, loss adjuster Davies Group acquired Parabis’ Argent Property Adjusters and Argent Liability Adjusters businesses while Examworks Investigation Services bought Argent's claims investigation business.

Steven Cottee commented: “We were delighted to assist on this complex assignment and our role alongside the Joint Administrators from Alix Partners is focused on ensuring that clients’ interests are protected during this process.”
