He has a wealth of experience acting for clients in relation to contractual disputes, commercial fraud, investigations, public inquiries and trust litigation.

Julian specialises in tracing and securing assets following fraud or breach of duties. He is experienced in responding to urgent situations by securing or defending freezing injunctions and/or search orders. He also acts for clients in relation to shareholder disputes, warranty claims, directors' duties and representing directors when investigated by liquidators.

Julian is a skilled forensic litigator who was part of the Shipman public Inquiry team, represented a number of soldiers in the Baha Mousa Inquiry and has been involved in the Al-Sweady Inquiry.

Julian has deep specialist expertise in sports and media law and is described by Legal 500 as an "exceptional lawyer" with "a fantastic grasp of the nuances of sports law". He has acted for top-flight football clubs, sporting bodies and leading individuals on a range of matters including contractual disputes, disciplinary proceedings and sponsorship agreements.
