Online

Please select

Join us for a panel discussion and Q&A on the government’s proposals for a Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) regime for nationally significant infrastructure projects (NSIPs) announced in its recent consultation.

The panel will explore the challenges and opportunities faced by developers and other stakeholders in bringing forward major infrastructure projects and delivering on the requirement for a minimum 10% net gain in biodiversity.

Our engaging discussion will cover matters such as:

  • the practical implications of the proposed BNG regime for different industry sectors
  • interaction with land and compulsory acquisition
  • BNG baseline issues for NSIPs
  • securing BNG and the Development Consent Order (DCO)
  • whether the existing Defra metric and user guide are appropriate to assess NSIP BNG - are changes required?

Who should attend

This session will be of interest to promoters of major infrastructure projects and to advisers and stakeholders.
