This session will look at the impact of the new Building Safety legislation on the development and management of, and investment in, residential property assets.

The Building Safety Bill continues its passage through the Parliamentary process, with the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities making renewed efforts to resolve the conundrum of who should meet the cost of remediating unsafe cladding.

  • Proposals to fund the remediation of buildings between 11 and 18 metres
  • Changes to the way the safety of external wall systems should be assessed
  • Competence and duty holder roles for new developments
  • Occupational duty holder roles
