QMUL Pinsent Masons Future of Energy Arbitration Survey Report 2023

We are pleased to invite you to the in-person seminar, hosted by our Hong Kong and Singapore offices, to discuss with you the results of Pinsent Masons joint global survey with Queen Mary University of London on the future of energy arbitration.

The survey report is the first by QMUL for the energy sector in nearly a decade and is very timely given the transition from oil and gas and other fossil fuels to renewables/cleaner energy, as well as current geopolitical events. It provides essential insights into:
  • the main risks and challenges faced by the energy sector now and in the short to medium term, including the primary causes of disputes
  • whether arbitration will continue to be ‘fit for purpose’ as the main forum to resolve cross-border energy-related disputes and what alternatives may be suitable, and
  • what energy sector participants would like to see to make the process more economical and accessible.

A full copy of the survey report can be viewed here.

The panel will consist of speakers from Hong Kong and Singapore who will be connected virtually, there will be the opportunity to ask questions, and time for networking after the discussion.
