The first reserved matters application to be submitted for the scheme, which was granted outline planning permission last week by the Boroughs of Hammersmith and Fulham and Kensington and Chelsea last week, includes up to 1,350 homes and 3,400 square feet of community space. The plans also include a nursery, a high street, a public square and a new 'Lost River Park'.
Capco said it will be submitting a detailed application with its proposals for 'West Brompton Village' at the southern end of the masterplan site. It said it will also submit a separate detailed application for the Empress State Building, which Capco plans to convert from offices into 340 new homes.
“We are excited that, for the first time, we are able to share the detail of our vision for the future of Earls Court – a district of garden squares anchored around a new high street and the Lost River Park," said Capco investor director Gary Yardley according to an Estates Gazette report. "As well as creating a vibrant new part of London, the plans will act as an enormous boost to the economy, creating thousands of new jobs and homes and signalling an £8bn investment in the local area,” he said.
Capco said it will submit its reserved matters application "shortly" after the exhibition.
