Greenwich approves £90m Telegraph Works proposals

The London Borough of Greenwich's planning board this week resolved to grant planning permission to developer Cathedral Group for a 272-home development at Greenwich Peninsula in London's SE10.

The Telegraph Works scheme includes the redevelopment of the Alcatel-Lucent Greenwich factory on a 3.35 hectare site at Christchurch Way to provide 256 flats, 16 courtyard houses, an energy centre, play spaces and new public realm. The tallest residential building will rise to 18 storeys.

Cathedral Group said it submitted its application for the scheme in January following "several months" of discussion with Greenwich Council and the Greater London Authority.

Planning permission is subject to the completion of a Section 106 Agreement and referral of the application to the Mayor of London.
