As part of the Elephant and Castle regeneration, the former London Park Hotel will undergo regeneration. The development proposals include a new 43-storey tower and a new residential street.
The proposals include a total of 470 new homes. Of the new homes, 355 would be located in the new tower and the remaining 115 homes would be in a terrace block fronting onto St Mary’s Churchyard Park. The tenure of the homes has not yet been confirmed.
“We’re looking for a developer with an excellent track-record in delivering high-density schemes in an urban environment. Our chosen partner will also be expected to engage with Southwark Council and the local community to ensure we make the most of this exciting opportunity,” said Daniel Bridge, HCA area manager.
The details of the competition will be published on the Official Journal of the European Union and the HCA and GLA will jointly choose a development partner for the scheme.
Drivers Jonas Deloitte has been appointed as marketing and disposal advisor for the HCA owned site, which is based in the London borough of Southwark.
