The King's Cross Central Partnership has lodged revised plans with Camden Council for a 300,000 square feet residential development at the T1 Building within the King's Cross Opportunity Area.

The proposed scheme will include 129 new homes, including 22 for affordable rent, in a new 14-storey building, as well as shops and cafes, a multi-use games area, a multi-storey car park and new public space.

The proposal is the second phase of a scheme, which includes an already completed and operational energy centre on the site. The new building is planned to be built across and alongside the energy centre.

The second phase of the scheme has been revised since it was first granted approval by the Council along with the first phase in 2009. The revised plans include an additional 27 homes as well as an enhanced design, which the developer said had informed, and had been informed by, proposals for adjacent sites.
