A bridge link between the Tate Modern's Turbine Hall on the South Bank and a new £215 million wing being built to the south of the existing site has been completed.

The new bridge will form one of three connections to the new wing which is scheduled to open in 2016 and will boost capacity of the gallery by around 60%. It is reported that approximately 85% of funding for the extension has been found at this stage. Contributors include the Government, Greater London Authority and private philanthropists.
