Taylor Wimpey submits plans for 85-home Wandsworth Town scheme

Developer Taylor Wimpey has submitted detailed plans to Wandsworth Council for the proposed redevelopment of a car park in Wandsworth Town, south west London into a residential-led mixed-use development with 85 homes.

The plans include the construction of three 10-storey blocks on 0.3 hectares of land south of Osiers Road and north of the railway line between Putney Bridge station and Wandsworth Town station. The upper eight storeys of the new blocks would house a total of 85 one- to three-bedroom apartments, of which 16 are proposed to be affordable homes.

The ground floors of the buildings would house four flexible commercial units under the scheme, providing 470 square metres of commercial floorspace. Private parking for 31 cars and four motorcycles and spaces for 93 cycles have been proposed within the first floor of the development.

The plans also include private garden space between the residential blocks, new pavement to the south of Osiers Road and a 185 sq m publicly accessible 'pocket park' to the west of the site.
