Anna specialises in the law relating to local authorities. She has particular experience of advising on public law aspects of property redevelopment projects, including compulsory purchase.
Anna also advises on largely internal matters for local authorities such as constitutional and propriety issues and local government finance law. She has acted in major property renewal projects and cases involving the transfer of functions, assets and staff on local government reorganisation, the establishment of new statutory bodies and prudential regulation. Anna has acted for local authorities and other public bodies, private and voluntary sector parties, individual elected members and council officers, ombudsmen and external auditors.

Advised a landowner on the prospects of securing the release of restrictive covenants inhibiting development of his land which had been imposed pursuant to historic legislation and which were designed to protect valued areas of open space land and historic buildings, involving research into legislation dating back to the 1900's and tracing the parties by whom the covenants would now be enforceable.
