Ian is an experienced property dispute resolution Senior Associate with a particular interest in assisting clients with development risk in the complex fields of rights of light, development constraints and vacant possession.
Ian's rights of light experience covers both assessment and advice on legal rights of light impacts and implementing complex strategies for managing the risk of potential claims for interference with rights of light caused by developments.
Ian has also had broad exposure to a wide range of property portfolio asset management matters, including those relating to contentious break rights, opposed and unopposed business lease renewals pursuant to the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 and tenant dilapidations.
