Phil is a Managing Senior Associate in the top-tier ranked Health, Safety and Regulatory Risk Team at Pinsent Masons. He is specialist in health and safety and environmental regulatory law. Phil acts for large corporate businesses across a range of high-risk sectors including construction, energy and utilities, transport, real estate and education. He defends businesses and individuals facing criminal investigation and prosecution brought by the Police, HSE, EA, local authorities and other regulatory bodies further to fatal and non-fatal incidents in the workplace. He also provides non-contentious risk management and commercial advice on regulatory matters through detailed written advice and due diligence on transactions as well as delivering training. Phil is experienced in advising directors, safety professionals and in-house legal representatives on crisis response, internal investigation, legal privilege and criminal liability issues arising out of safety incidents in the workplace.
