For the last 13 years, Rachel has been based in China. Her practice focus is on advising a range of clients including large Chinese SOE contractors on their outbound work with a focus on infrastructure and energy projects. She advises clients on their claims, disputes and dispute avoidance measures and has wide experience advising on arbitrations and litigation. She is experienced in drafting and negotiating a wide range of standard form and bespoke construction contracts and ancillary documents. Prior to qualifying as a solicitor she studied Civil Engineering and worked for four years as a graduate civil engineer for a leading multidisciplinary consultancy. During that time she gained experience on bridge, rail, light rail and tunnelling projects.
