International law firm Pinsent Masons has announced its acquisition of Brook Graham, a market-leading Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) consulting company for an undisclosed fee.

The acquisition will enable Brook Graham, which specialises in the strategic management of D&I in global companies, to expand into new sectors and territories powered by the reach of Pinsent Masons' international, sector-focused presence.

By joining forces in this way, Pinsent Masons and Brook Graham will offer a more holistic approach to developing commercially and legally sustainable solutions for creating more diverse and inclusive workplaces.

The acquisition marks a further commitment by Pinsent Masons to provide innovative and comprehensive solutions to the most pressing challenges facing its clients. Most recently, the firm acquired a minority stake in 'New Law' start-up business Yuzu. The firm also has a majority stake in cloud-based compliance venture Cerico, and has recently expanded its legal resourcing hub, Vario, into Australia.

Richard Foley, senior partner of Pinsent Masons says:

"We take a holistic view of the challenges that our clients face and have a successful track record of investing in businesses that have the potential to help our clients overcome these. Brook Graham is a scalable business with a strong reputation and an impressive client base to match. D&I is high on the agenda for organisations and combined with our own international network, legal expertise and dedication to D&I, I'm confident that clients will reap the benefits of this valuable combined offering."

Lesley Brook, co-founder of Brook Graham says:

"Pinsent Masons is a leading international law firm with more PLC clients than almost any other law firm and a genuine commitment to D&I, making it the perfect cultural fit for Brook Graham. The firm provides a stronger operational platform from which to grow the business and be able to provide current and future clients with holistic D&I services and solutions which make a sustainable difference. We are delighted to be joining forces with Pinsent Masons to make this happen."

Jacey Graham, co-founder of Brook Graham says:

"Brook Graham has established itself as a market-leading D&I consultancy since 2004 and the demand for our services continues to surge. Pinsent Masons has a reputation for innovation and the mind-set for driving positive change that we need in order for the business to continue moving from strength to strength."

Pinsent Masons has itself remained dedicated to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace. The firm is the top-ranked professional services firm in Stonewall's Workplace Equality Index and is named in The Times' Top 50 Employers for Women. In May 2017, Pinsent Masons surpassed its target of achieving 25% female representation among its partnership by 2018, a year ahead of schedule, following an effort to address gender balance at senior levels under its 'Sky' programme. Sky was also recently awarded for 'Diversity Innovation' at the Legal Week Innovation Awards 2017.
