Pinsent Masons celebrates innovation in the Biotech Sector at Bionow Awards

International law firm Pinsent Masons has presented UK company Cyprotex with the 'Service Company of the Year' award at the Bionow Annual Awards 2013.

The awards, which took place on Thursday 28th November at The Mere Golf Resort & Spa in Cheshire, celebrates business and innovation within the biomedical and life science sectors across Northern England and showcases the world class offerings in the region.  It is was attended by over 300 executives from across the biomedical industry.

Samantha Livesey, Partner at Pinsent Masons specialising in intellectual property and commercial contracts within the biotech sector, was delighted to present the Service Company of the Year Award to Cyptrotex, whose ADME-Tox contract research services scored strongly against the judging criteria of impact of service on the problem addressed, quality and innovation of service and strong business model. 

Anthony Baxter PhD, chief executive of Cyprotex, said: "We are delighted to have won the prestigious BioNow Service Company of the Year award. Our dedicated team at our facilities in the UK and the US has made this possible and they have worked hard to achieve where we are today...We are looking forward to further growth and expansion during 2014."

It was fantastic to see so many growth-orientated companies from this sector sharing their expertise and networking, whether their main operation was scientific, clinical or business related."

The Service Company of the Year was a hugely competitive category with runners up Cobra Biologics and Perfectus Biomed also both making strong submissions.
