The Energy Transition: the role of data and AI within our energy system

In this session our panel of specialists will explore: the current landscape of AI use cases in the energy sector, including green energy solutions; cross sector challenges; the legal and supply chain contracting issues arising from the development, deployment and use of AI technologies; Responsible AI and Governance.

We will discuss the opportunities arising from the use of AI and provide an understanding of the need to navigate the following:

Agenda

• Data issues – Addressing the balance between providing AI tools with quality, representative data inputs to produce the highest quality outputs, and the need to protect shared data.
• Intellectual Property Rights – Ensuring IP issues in relation to the protection of the AI tool, infringement of third party rights in data and content used in training or using the tool, and ownership and use rights in relation to outputs are addressed.
• Liability and Regulatory developments – Assessing the current liability regimes and awareness of regulatory developments.
