Since its inception as a test form to accompany the Red Book in 2009, the FIDIC template subcontract form has continued to evolve and improve, reflecting the changing needs of its users. The latest offering by FIDIC at the end of last year is the first edition of the Yellow Book Conditions of Subcontract intended to accompany the FIDIC Conditions of Contract for Plant and Design-Build (1999 Yellow Book).

In this webinar our FIDIC experts from around the world will guide you through the recent FIDIC subcontract developments. Please join our Pinsent Masons’ experts for a panel discussion sharing insight and views on:

  • Key principles of the aligned subcontract terms, including a practical look at the terms intended to deal with pass through claims and complex multi-party disputes.
  • How global use might be impacted by different regional perspectives and considerations and perhaps even driven by the use of the 2nd edition of the FIDIC Rainbow Suite for World Bank and Multilateral Development Bank projects.
  • The use of the subcontract by joint ventures in particular when members might look to subcontract independently of the joint venture or as subcontractors to the joint venture.
