Oxford City Council has launched a consultation on its community infrastructure levy (CIL) draft charging schedule (DCS), setting out the same rates as those proposed in the Council's preliminary draft charging schedule (PDCS) consulted on last summer.

The DCS (16-page / 815KB PDF) proposes that residential developments are charged a rate of £100 per square metre, including self-contained sheltered accommodation and self-contained graduate accommodation.

The same £20 per sq m rate is proposed to apply to retail developments, financial and professional services, restaurants and cafes, drinking establishments and hot food takeaways.
Business developments, hotels, residential institutions, non-residential institutions and leisure developments are all subject to a proposed rate of £20 per sq m. A proposed rate of £20 per sq m will also apply to all other uses that are not listed in the DCS.
The consultation will run until 1 March. The Council said it expects to adopt CIL in October this year.
