Salmon Harvester Properties, a joint venture between developer Salmon Developments and NFU Mutual, have submitted an outline planning application to Slough Borough Council for its first major residential development.

The proposed scheme comprises the construction of 120 homes on the site of a vacant office building at Stoke Road near Slough's town centre and its mainline railway station.

"Given the current imbalance between supply and demand, we will look to develop this project out for the letting market as opposed to selling to owner-occupiers,” Salmon chief executive Dough Stewart said in a statement.

Subject to grant of planning consent, Salmon said it expects the new homes to be available for occupation in the autumn of 2014.
