The London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham has granted planning permission for a £35 million residential development at Ravenscourt Park in west London.

The scheme, which will comprise 54,000 square feet of homes, will be carried out by developer and investor First Base in partnership with an affiliate of private investor Starwood Capital Group.

“This scheme presents a unique opportunity to develop large spacious homes in a much sought-after London location," said First Base managing director Elliot Lipton according to a CoStar report. "Our on-going commitment to delivering high quality developments combined with a collaborative planning approach means that we can continue to unlock value from seemingly difficult sites.”

Adam Shah, Starwood Capital, said: “Starwood believes that there are strong investment opportunities in London residential, particularly in locations as strong as this one," said Starwood Capital vice president Adam Shah.

Work on the site is expected to begin in late 2013.
