A spammer who sells allegedly pirated Symantec's Norton software on the internet has exposed personal details of hundreds of customers on his web site, according to a report by news site Internetnews.com.

It appears that the spammer operates a web site called salesscape.com, where he offers discounted Symantec software for sale.

According to Internetnews.com, the company behind the site promotes sales through unsolicited e-mail, advertising software from the Norton product line, including Norton AntiVirus 2003 and Norton SystemWorks. The e-mail apparently includes a link to salesscape.com, where customers can order the products on-line.

According to Internetnews.com, the site displayed hundreds of orders, exposing the names, telephone numbers and home and e-mail addresses of customers.

Symantec has reportedly warned consumers that the software offered for sale on salesscape.com is pirated, and that the company is aware of the spammers' activities.
