Belle is a senior environment and planning lawyer specialising in the delivery of major energy and infrastructure projects. She advises on complex planning, environmental and land acquisition matters for developers, infrastructure operators and utilities, with experience spanning energy, water, telecommunications, waste and transport. Belle frequently advises on planning and environmental approval strategies, environmental impact assessments and various environmental and planning issues such as heritage, Crown land, contamination and climate change.
Prior to joining the Sydney team, Belle worked in the planning and environment team in London, where she advised on multiple nationally significant infrastructure projects, such as renewable energy projects, water reservoirs, water treatment projects and major road infrastructure. This experience informs her work on complex energy and infrastructure projects in Australia.
Belle also has extensive experience in merit and judicial review proceedings, acting for both developers and government clients in the New South Wales Land and Environment Court and the Court of Appeal.
