James Lilley

James acts for commercial and investor clients advising on complex landlord & tenant and development disputes; with particular specialisms in high value dilapidations and rights to light claims. James also has extensive experience working for telecommunications operators and infrastructure providers.
James sits in our Property Dispute Resolution team. He primarily works advising commercial clients in relation to the management of large property portfolios; and on the design and implementation of development strategies.
James specialises in rights to light disputes (acting for both developers and injured parties); high value dilapidations claims; and telecommunications. He has extensive experience both litigating these matters to trial, and also achieving settlement through mediations and other forms of ADR. James also has many years of experience advising on lease renewals and termination under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954; breaches of covenant claims; contentious break options; and other contractual disputes.
