Matthew is a Senior Associate in the Health & safety and Regulatory risk team based in Manchester. Matthew regularly assists with clients' internal investigations, advises on compliance with health and safety law and advises those subject to investigation by the Police, and regulators including the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and Fire Authorities, following serious and fatal workplace incidents, and represents clients in relation to associated criminal litigation. Matthew provides advice on non-contentious health and safety matters to include conducting health and safety compliance reviews. Matthew has experience in advising and representing clients in relation to PACE (Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984) interviews under caution and invitations to provide written submissions including advising on voluntary statements and preparing legal representations, and in relation to Coronial investigations and inquests.
