Senior Practice Development Lawyer
Rachel is a senior practice development lawyer for the;property team at Pinsent Masons.
After seven years practising as a commercial property solicitor in England and Scotland (primarily involved in development and retail work) Rachel became a practice development lawyer, ensuring that knowledge gained within the team is shared firm wide and readily accessible in the future.Rachel is responsible keeping the team updated on changes in property law and market practice, creating and maintaining precedents and organising and delivering training to ensure that the lawyers in the team are fully-equipped with the necessary technical excellence and skills to deliver a commercial and efficient service to clients. Rachel focusses on retail, housing, and development and regeneration tracking trends and developments in these areas which will affect our clients.Rachel is a founding member of the Property Standardisation Group which was created in 2001 by four leading Scottish firms to produce agreed forms of documents and procedures for Scottish commercial property transactions for the benefit of the profession as a whole. The PSG won awards for innovation and has provided a valuable resource for the profession in times of rapid changes in property law and procedure.Rachel is a member of the Scottish Property PSL Group and co-chairs a liaison group between the PSL Group and the Registers of Scotland.
Simon has a broad range of commercial property experience, but specialises in the property finance, investment acquisitions and disposals, landlord and tenant, and energy sectors.

Tim is the firm’s Head of Knowledge. He develops and implements our knowledge strategy to support the firm’s business strategy. He also works direct with clients to help support their knowledge needs.
