Samantha specialises in contentious patents, including the provision of strategic advice, in particular in the life sciences sector.
Samantha advises pharmaceutical clients in relation to parallel trade matters and has an in depth knowledge of her clients’ businesses and understand their commercial needs.
She has been involved in co-ordinating pan-European patent litigations for a large pharmaceutical company and has valuable patent trial experience having attended various hearings in the UK and across Europe, including in the Netherlands, Sweden, Portugal, Norway, Finland and at the CJEU.
Recent achievements include being a pivotal member of the team that worked on the case concerning the validity of an SPC, for which Pinsent Masons won the Managing IP EMEA award 2019 for “Impact Case of the Year” and “TMT & Life Sciences Team of the Year” at the British Legal Awards 2019.
