Sophie specialises in compulsory purchase orders and highways orders - acting for both local authorities and developers – enabling transport, regeneration and housing schemes.
Sophie can advise and has worked on a number of CPOs, having a leading role on many of them.
She has extensive experience on all stages of promoting and implementing a CPO and also has experience on Side Roads Orders and appropriation; key areas for delivering and de-risking projects.
Sophie's projects require her to work effectively with and project manage multidisciplinary client/expert teams, especially during the evidence and inquiry stages. She also regularly works alongside Counsel (generally KCs) often leading on their instruction.
