International Law firm Pinsent Masons has been named 'Construction Law Firm of the Year' at the Asian Legal Business Hong Kong Law Awards for the seventh time in eight years.

This year Pinsent Masons has been recognised for work on high-profile rail projects including the ‘Express Rail Link’, involving several construction packages worth over $1 billion each, and the ‘Shatin to Central Link’. Furthermore the firm was commended for its work in developing and conducting the Contract Management Academy for an international contractor, also recognised recently by the FT Innovative Lawyers Awards Asia 2016.

The team has recently received large-scale instructions on several significant transport projects in Hong Kong including the Central – Wanchai Bypass project, the Hong Kong – Macau – Zhuhai bridge, and the Hong Kong International Airport expansion plans.

Commenting on the win Vincent Connor, Partner and Head of the Hong Kong Office of Pinsent Masons said: “We are delighted to have won this accolade for the seventh time at the ALB Awards. It really is testament to the hard work the team has put in throughout the year to ensure we continue to be market leaders in the construction arena in Hong Kong and across the Asia Pacific region."

Now in their 15th year, the ALB Hong Kong Law Awards are committed to recognising excellence in the region's legal industry and "the people behind the great deals, tremendous projects and matters and cases that overturned landmark decisions to set an entirely new jurisprudence."
