Christina is a Legal Director managing largescale pension projects. As well as being a lawyer specialising in pensions, Christina has held positions as a professional independent trustee and an employee benefits consultant. She has worked closely with trustees and companies on pension scheme closures and mergers, employer covenant and funding matters, corporate guarantees, buy-ins and buy-outs and member benefit claims to the Pensions Ombudsman. She has also advised on corporate restructuring and insolvency, including participating in negotiations with the Pensions Protection Fund to secure pension benefits following corporate insolvencies.
Christina has worked with sponsors and trustees of traditional defined benefit schemes, defined contribution schemes (including master trusts) and hybrid pension arrangements (including industry wide schemes). Her public sector experience includes advice on fair deal, new fair deal, best value and protected persons legislation.
She is a member of the Association of Pension Lawyers and an Associate of the Pensions Management Institute.
