Arlene advises trustees and employers of defined benefit pension schemes on all matters relating to their schemes. She advises clients from a wide range of sectors, including banking, manufacturing and church schemes.
Arlene is very experienced in advising on all matters relating to defined benefit pension schemes.
As well as general trustee advisory work, she has significant experience on the introduction of benefit changes and closure to accrual exercises, including advising on member consultations and drafting amendments to governing rules. Arlene has particular expertise in drafting complex pension scheme deeds, and in advising on historic benefit and scheme documentation issues. She has also advised on risk transfer, including buy-in, buy-out and winding up.
Arlene is focused on working closely with clients and always providing pragmatic and commercial advice on issues which can often be highly technical.
