James is an Australian qualified lawyer who assists clients in developing and implementing commercial and legal strategies to manage risk and facilitate the resolution of disputes during project delivery and throughout formal dispute processes. He regularly advises on disputes concerning delay, disruption, payment and other construction related issues. James joined Pinsent Masons’ Construction Advisory and Disputes team from its Melbourne office in 2022, where he specialised in the Australian Security of Payment regimes, and relocated to its Dubai office in 2025.

She is experienced in litigation and large-scale arbitration, both domestic and international, concerning complex issues of delay, disruption, variations and contract termination. Lauren also acts for clients during the project delivery phase. Recent projects Lauren has been involved in include windfarms, roads, pipelines and commercial developments.
