James specialises in assisting clients to resolve disputes on construction projects. He has experience in all forms of dispute resolution and across a range of major energy and infrastructure projects in the Asia Pacific and Middle East regions.
James is an Australian qualified lawyer who assists clients in developing and implementing commercial and legal strategies to manage risk and facilitate the resolution of disputes during project delivery and throughout formal dispute processes. He regularly advises on disputes concerning delay, disruption, payment and other construction related issues. James joined Pinsent Masons’ Construction Advisory and Disputes team from its Melbourne office in 2022, where he specialised in the Australian Security of Payment regimes, and relocated to its Dubai office in 2025.
