Michael specialises in property dispute resolution advising major utility companies, property companies, Universities and Government Departments.
Michael has defended United Utilities since the beginning of the long running (and ongoing) dispute relating to our discharges into the Manchester Ship Canal, including to the successful determination of a crucial issue for us and the wider Industry by the Supreme Court in 2014. Michael’s preparation and eye for detail has ensured that we have been absolutely prepared for each step of the legal process. He has never left any stone unturned and his project-management of not only a large UU team but a team of external barristers and experts was meticulous. Thankfully however and despite the workload, always with good humour. Importantly, he also manages my own expectations in a constructive way that allows me to inform and manage my own internal stakeholders regarding the outcome and timetable for each milestone. Someone I am always glad is at my side on such matters.
