Niamh Deery
Senior Associate
Niamh provides transactional construction advice to developer clients within the energy sector. Niamh specialises in advising on the procurement, development, and operation of major renewables projects; with particular expertise advising on supply chain contracts for offshore windfarms around the world.
Niamh works with the majority of the firm’s largest developer clients, where she leads the negotiation of tier-1 contracts with leading international contractors. Niamh assists these clients both in the UK and internationally, having been engaged on projects in a variety of jurisdictions from the USA to Japan.
Niamh advises on a range of construction documents including early works and services agreement (for example, in respect of the commissioning of onshore and offshore site investigations), preferred bidder agreements, reservation agreements, tier 1 EPC contracts, bespoke services agreements, sub-contracts, and professional appointments. Niamh is also experienced in working with a range of industry standard forms including FIDIC, LOGIC, NEC, and ICC.
Niamh is a member of the firm’s core OFTO team (focusing on the regulated (and mandatory) sale of transmission infrastructure by offshore wind developers).
