Sophie acts in the acquisition, sale, financing and leasing of both commercial property and housing, with a particular focus on the large-scale acquisition of affordable residential developments.
Sophie specialises in commercial property law in England and Wales. She advises clients on the acquisition of high value property and has extensive experience in drafting leases and other documentation for grants, surrenders, variations and supplemental leases. Sophie also provides property advice on corporate and finance transactions.
She acts for a large affordable housing provider and has played a key role in establishing a client interface that enables that client to instruct Pinsent Masons on hundreds of individual matters annually.
She is passionate about leveraging legal technology to improve service delivery and has taken the lead on a number of large-scale projects (such as the re-financing and acquisition of 2,000 plus properties), utilising tools such as data extraction and other innovative approaches to carry out such projects effectively. She manages a team of junior fee earners to assist in the provision of this work.
Sophie has a collaborative and practical approach to advising clients and negotiating transactions.
