Associate
Valentin is an associate in the Paris Litigation team. He advises French and international clients in civil and commercial disputes, including succession matters, product liability, infrastructure, logistics, tech, and energy litigation, as well as art related cases, notably art restitution.
Valentin appears before civil and commercial courts in both ordinary and urgent proceedings, and manages all aspects of international litigation. He combines his legal practice with a strong academic background as a Sorbonne Ph.D. and a regular contributor to international law journals. He is frequently invited by French and foreign universities to give lectures in international law, comparative private law, and legal history.
Prior to joining the Paris Bar, Valentin held research and teaching positions at the Sorbonne, Oxford, the Max Planck Institute in Hamburg, and the Melbourne Law School. He also gained experience clerking at the French Supreme Court, where he carried out in‑depth research and prepared analytical memoranda in public and private international law, European Union law, and comparative law.
