International law firm Pinsent Masons has been awarded four prestigious Big Tick awards by Business in the Community for the firm's community investment initiatives.

Pinsent Masons is one of a select number of businesses to receive a Business in the Community Big Tick award. The awards are part of the National Awards for Excellence, the UK’s most influential, independent, peer-assessed corporate responsibility awards. The Awards for Excellence reward businesses which have had a positive impact on society and which demonstrate that being responsible is integral to their business model. The firm has been recognised in the Awards for Excellence for the last five years.

Pinsent Masons has won one new Big Tick and two reaccreditations in the Education category which recognises programmes that raise the attainment and aspirations of young people by building sustainable partnerships with schools. This is the fourth year that the firm's partnership with Manchester Academy has been awarded a Big Tick and the second time that the firm has been shortlisted as a National Example of Excellence. The firm has also been recognised for its long standing partnerships with St Matthew's Primary School in Birmingham and Cockburn School in Leeds.

In the Employability (Work Inclusion) category, the firm has been reaccredited for its work with Tomorrow's People and the Working It Out programme in London.

Kate Fergusson, CR Manager at Pinsent Masons commented: “We are delighted to receive four Big Ticks this year.  They are testament to the ambition of our firm and the commitment of our people who together are making a difference to the education and employability of children in some of the most challenging areas in the UK.”
