International law firm Pinsent Masons has been awarded four prestigious Big Tick awards by Business in the Community for the firm's community investment initiatives.
Pinsent Masons is one of a select number of businesses to receive a Business in the Community Big Tick award. The awards are part of the National Awards for Excellence, the UK’s most influential, independent, peer-assessed corporate responsibility awards. The Awards for Excellence reward businesses which have had a positive impact on society and which demonstrate that being responsible is integral to their business model. The firm has been recognised in the Awards for Excellence for the last six years.
Pinsent Masons has won two new Big Ticks in the Education category as well as two reaccreditations in the Work Inclusion and the Bank of America Merrill Lynch Education Award categories.
The Education category recognises businesses that are building sustainable partnerships with schools in the UK, to raise aspirations of young people to enable them to build successful working lives. Pinsent Masons was awarded BIG ticks for its long standing partnerships with St Matthew's Primary School in Birmingham and Cockburn School in Leeds.
Kate Fergusson, CR Manager at Pinsent Masons commented: “We are delighted that our commitment to doing business responsibly has once again been recognised in the Business in the Community Awards for Excellence. Our four Big Ticks are testament to the long-term partnerships we have made in our local communities, and the commitment of our volunteers who are striving to make a difference to the education and employability of children in some of the most challenging areas in the UK.”
