Multinational law firm Pinsent Masons has been named Legal Consultant of the Year at the Middle East Solar Industry Association Awards for the fourth consecutive year.
The firm received the award in recognition of its market leading work advising some of the largest and most complex solar projects across the Middle East. This includes advising the lenders on the Rabigh 300MW solar IPP; the first renewables project and the first Independent Power Producer for the ECA financier in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the first renewable financing for the Islamic lender. Pinsent Masons is also currently advising the Lebanese Centre for Energy Efficiency on the liquidity enhancement and currency risk mitigation strategies to attract international tenders for solar PV plus battery storage and wind programs in Lebanon, the first time such credit structures have been considered.
Gurmeet Kaur, Dubai-based energy and infrastructure finance partner at Pinsent Masons said: “We are delighted to have received this award for the fourth consecutive year. To be recognised by our industry peers reflects our consistent track record, the incredible year we have had and the strength of our team in the region and globally. We continue to be at the forefront of getting these important renewables projects funded, consented and developed across the Middle East which are critical in meeting industry and national decarbonisation targets.”
Now in its tenth year, The Middle East Solar Industry Association Awards looks recognise and celebrate exceptional talent and achievements in the MENA solar market and highlighting the transformation of its solar industry.
