Multinational law firm Pinsent Masons has been named Legal Consultant of the Year at the Middle East Solar Industry Association Awards for the fourth consecutive year.
The firm received the award in recognition of its market leading work advising some of the largest and most complex solar projects across the Middle East. This includes advising the lenders on the Rabigh 300MW solar IPP; the first renewables project and the first Independent Power Producer for the ECA financier in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the first renewable financing for the Islamic lender. Pinsent Masons is also currently advising the Lebanese Centre for Energy Efficiency on the liquidity enhancement and currency risk mitigation strategies to attract international tenders for solar PV plus battery storage and wind programs in Lebanon, the first time such credit structures have been considered.
