VirtualSellers.com, a provider of e-commerce solutions, has filed a lawsuit against posters on a financial message board operated by the investor web site RagingBull.com and its parent companies Alta Vista and CMGI.

VirtualSellers.com says it took action because posters using the names “Scott L.” and ”VDOT 2 a Dime” and others made malicious and untrue postings on RagingBull.com that consistently and persistently allowed posters to violate the “terms of service” agreement.

VirtualSellers.com alleges that violations of the “terms of service” agreement were allowed to continue and included “egregious personal attacks” at VirtualSellers.com's CEO and other employees. VirtualSellers.com alleges that these violations had the effect of eroding VirtualSellers.com's share price.
